Prayer Times
times when we get together to pray to God our Father
Prayer is one of the central values of the Monash Christian Union. The God we believe in is not only the sustainer of this world for whom nothing is impossible but He has adopted us through Jesus as His children and loves to give us what we ask. Whatever activity we run, it's outcome is always in His hands, so it's important for us to get together regularly to talk to Him as a Christian Union.
Clayton Campus
In 2011 we are running two weekly prayer meetings each Semester. These are:
- Tuesday 4pm in Room G11A, Religious Centre
- Thursday 1pm in Room G11A, Religious Centre
Our Prayer Secretary, Larissa Jones, writes up “prayer briefs” on a regular basis which form the basis for the meetings. These usually include a Bible passage for reflection and prayer points for:
- Monash CU,
- other student ministries in Australia and beyond,
- mission and development organisations we are in contact with.
Prayer meetings will also be an opportunity for students to pray for each other and pray beyond the briefs, which are meant to be an aid not a straight-jacket.
