WHAT IS THIS COURSE ABOUT?
At its heart, Christianity is about our relationship with God. So this introductory course is not simply a survey of Christian beliefs, but an introduction to the God of the Bible. Over the course of seven weeks you can expect to gain a comprehensive overview of what the Bible teaches about knowing God. But it's not just about learning and listening, it's also about discussion, asking questions and being free to express your own opinons.
HOW IS THE EVENING RUN?
Each session involves watching a short video presentation, looking at the Bible itself and plenty of discussion and interaction with the material. Towards the end, we also share a meal together which we provide.
WHO RUNS THIS COURSE?
Karen Morris works with Monash Christian Union, and hosts the course. She has been a Christian for many years and was herself won over to Christianity during year 12 of high school. She has had a great deal of experience explaining the Christian faith to those who want to know more and loves answering people's questions.
WHERE, WHEN & WHAT TIME?
Christian Union is running the Introducing God course in Semester 2, 2011. It will run on Tuesdays from Week 4 from 5-7pm and includes a free dinner. Beginning on Tuesday 16th August, it runs for 7 weeks (including intro session) in the Law Building, ground floor, room G08 (on the left-hand side as you come down the stairs).
