WHAT IS SUMMIT?

Summit is Christian Union's 5 day mid-year camp which proves to be a unique experience and a highlight for many ofthe people who attend. Apart from making new friends, catching up with old ones, sport, games, free time and the theme night, Summit
is an unparalleled opportunity to study God's Word in depth. Th e main talks, based on the theme "Gettingto Know God", will take us through the Scriptures, helping us to grow in our relationship with God
and get a better understanding of who he is. As well as this there are interactive discussions, small group studies, and electives, which make for one fantastic conference.
Summit 2008 is a combined event of the Monash and Deakin Christian Unions, with students
attending from Burwood, Clayton, Berwick, Caulfi eld, Peninsula and Gippsland campuses. It really is a great time, so make sure you're there!

OUR SPEAKER

For those who don't know, Stu White works at Monash alongside students to help grow God's Kingdom through the gospel. He grew up in Tasmania, within a Christian family, and became a Christian himself at 18. At 19 he was chosen to be the new face for Calvin Klein but turned his back on a lucrative modelling career to pursue gospel ministry. Sometimes Stuart lies. Here are some of his random preferences: Coca- Cola over Pepsi; beach over bush; city slicker over country hick; Monash over Deakin; Christ over all. He considers himself immensely blessed to know God through the Gospel and is thrilled he gets a chance at Summit to be part of God's gracious work of revealing Himself in Christ.
